So as you can see if you check out my sidebar, I’m playing around with a brand new Twitter account. I have no idea how it will go and if I will like it or not, but it’s tempted me for long enough I have to give it a try. So if you are another Twitter user, let me know!
Oh, I’m using my real name for this Twitter experiment. You may or may not know that my name isn’t really Dorothy; if you’re curious about my real name and don’t know if already, just click on the Twitter link and find out! I’m beginning to wonder if I should drop the pseudonym at some point, but I’m not sure I want to blog as myself; I kind of like blogging as Dorothy …
If you find me on Twitter, please ignore me for now. I opened an account after one of the presidential debates, so I could follow what people were saying. Have not used it since. Like blogs and facebook, I’ll probably get there one day, but don’t hold your breath.
Oh, and keep the pseudonym! I’m so fond of both you AND Dorothy.

I actually did find you on Twitter, Emily, but I decided to ignore you because I saw you weren’t actively using it. If you change your mind about that, though, just let me know! And I doubt my pseudonym is going anywhere — it would be too jarring to switch now.

I wondered if that was you! So now I’m following you too.

I’ve used Dorothy W. for so long even knowing it was not your real name I am to old to change…

I think you will like Twitter. As for your name, I will always think of you as Dorothy first. 🙂

Dorothy–even though I know your real name I think I will always sort of think of you as Dorothy W. It just seems so fitting considering 18th c. lit is your specialty. I noticed twitter on your sidebar and had heard of it but didn’t really know what it was, so I took a peek yesterday. I’m not sure it is for me as I already have a hard time keeping up with blog reading, but there is certainly plenty of ways of ‘being connected’ online these days!

Musings — I’m glad — twitter will be fun!
Edd — no worries, I’ll stay Dorothy!
Stefanie — I’m liking Twitter already. It’s been fun to chat (or tweet or whatever) with you a bit.
Danielle — that’s fine! And twitter certainly isn’t for everybody, and it is one more distraction and something else to keep up with. But if you change your mind, just let me know!

I am not sure what Twitter is (and so therefore, I’m not on it), but I’m having trouble keeping up with Ravelry, GoodReads, and LinkedIn as it is! So many fun things to try on the internet!
